This was my first time trying Fat Sal's and 2 people commented on my bag filled with food as I walked by saying how they wish they had a sandwich too right now! I got the beef dip and it was to die for! There's not really seating at this location and parking is hard but if you're already on your feet in the area it's the perfect spot! ”

“ We get Fat Sal's for lunch the day before all of our home games so I've had my fair share of meals from here. My go-to order at places like this is always an Impossible burger. I'm not a vegetarian by any stretch of the imagination but there are many occasions I won't eat meat, burgers being one of the more common. Fat Sal's Impossible burger is so fuc*ing good!!! Every time I have it, I find myself meticulously inspecting the patty thinking it must be meat. Their orders are massive so I can't ever finish an entire burger or fries but they are scrumptious and hit the spot! Perfect choice if you don't eat meat or similar to me prefer not to at times. ”
“ My go to is the banh miki sandwich. Perfect balance of flavor, texture, spice, color and variety. The bread to meat ratio was perfect too. As always of course. It's been five years since my last sandwich because the fat sals in Pacific Beach, San Diego closed. I was devastated and always asked people in my friend group and family to bring me a sandwich if they were to head their way back to SD from LA because I hate going too long without eating Fat sals! They accept Apple Pay. The parking situation here is wild because there is a crazy line for in&out down the street, there is no bathroom at fat sals so I had to go to in&out. Other than that really- even with that there's no complaints. The staff was cool. I got an orange Fanta as well, I think because at the specific location they don't make shakes. ”
